Novenas

Do you pray novenas? Are you catholic? I am a cradle catholic but I have not always prayed novenas. I actually learned about them from my mother in-law who was a very faithful women.
You do not have to be catholic to pray novenas. They are just a beautiful form of prayer that is said every day for nine days usually they ask for a certain saints intercession for our special intentions.

For the last year or so I have been following and receiving Pray More Novenas in my email.
After signing up you receive emails when the novenas start and then everyday for the nine days of the novena.

Be Present In What Is Happening Right Now

Let us be present to the now. It’s all we have and it’s where God will always speak to us. The now holds everything, rejects nothing and, therefore, can receive God too. Help us, God, to be present to the place we most fear, because it always feels empty, it always feels boring, it always feels like it’s not enough. Help us find some space within that we don’t try to fill with ideas or opinions. Help us find space so you, loving God, can show yourself in that place where we are hungry and empty. Keep us out of the way, so there is always room enough for you. Good God, we believe that you are here and your presence gives us hope. We thank you for each day of our lives. Hoarfrost and Winter BIrds

 I love watching the birds at my feeder, especially the Cardinals! They are so colorful against the white snow. Picture worthy! We had hoarfrost all over the trees today. I had to look the definition up to make sure I was right about Hoarfrost! Here is the definition for you.  —  Hoarfrost , deposit of ice crystals on objects exposed to the free air, such as grass blades, tree branches, or leaves. It is formed by direct condensation of water vapour to ice at temperatures below freezing and occurs when air is brought to its  frost  point by cooling.   ~Pretty cool!!
