He is an evangelical preacher formally a pastor of the Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley, California. He recently went viral with a talk about Holy Communion. It was pretty awesome in the fact that he was discovering the Catholic history and doctrine. When I relocate that clip I will post it also

 Todays reading  Luke 13:31-35 Speaks about persevering in the mission, having a heart open to others and praying for those who persecute you. Jesus knows what he has to do and even though he found opposition on his journey to Jerusalem he persevered on his journey. Jesus wept for Jerusalem. His heart was not closed to them. Be Present In What Is Happening Right Now

Let us be present to the now. It’s all we have and it’s where God will always speak to us. The now holds everything, rejects nothing and, therefore, can receive God too. Help us, God, to be present to the place we most fear, because it always feels empty, it always feels boring, it always feels like it’s not enough. Help us find some space within that we don’t try to fill with ideas or opinions. Help us find space so you, loving God, can show yourself in that place where we are hungry and empty. Keep us out of the way, so there is always room enough for you. Good God, we believe that you are here and your presence gives us hope. We thank you for each day of our lives. We thank you for so many further chances to understand, to forgive again, to trust again, and to love. We thank you that we live now, that our problems are soul-sized. Saints of the Day for Wednesday the 26th of October

 There are a couple of interesting Saints today that I would like to share with you. You can read about them on the Laudate App for free Blessed José Gregorio Hernandez-Cisneros  The eldest of six children   Beginning at age 18, he studied medicine at the University of Caracas, Venezuela, graduating on 29 June 1888. Feeling called to religious life, José joined the Secular Franciscans on 7 December 1899, and began investigating becoming a Carthusian monk was forced to return to Caracas for health reasons. José took this as a sign that he should give up the idea of religious life, and serve an apostolate as a physician. That’s how he spent the rest of his life - single, celibate, prayerful and dedicated to caring for the poor for free. Anyone who cares for the poor for free is my kind of person!
